Happy New Year everyone!
The new year is a great time to start fresh, and many people decide to make resolutions. A resolution is like a promise, a firm decision to do or not to do something.
Here are some common examples of new year’s resolutions:
- quit smoking
- get in shape / exercise
- learn something new
When we talk about resolutions we often use ‘be going to’ or ‘will’.
- I’m going to quit smoking.
- I will exercise more this year.
- I’m going to learn a new language.
