New Year’s Resolutions

Happy New Year everyone!

The new year is a great time to start fresh, and many people decide to make resolutions. A resolution is like a promise, a firm decision to do or not to do something.

Here are some common examples of new year’s resolutions:

  • quit smoking
  • get in shape / exercise
  • learn something new

When we talk about resolutions we often use ‘be going to’ or ‘will’.

  • I’m going to quit smoking.
  • I will exercise more this year.
  • I’m going to learn a new language.
